This is mostly devoted to the DP-fandom, but I'm sure it applies to many more.
War isn't a joke. It isn't a word that should be taken lightly.
People die. People get hurt. They see things no human being should see. Just hearing about some of their experiences makes me sick. Literally sick.
When I see people on the internet claim that their fandom is having a war...it seriously pisses me off.
You are spatting pointless insults at each other and creating more useless, so-called "drama" (you all know how I feel about that word being used to describe internet "conflicts"...) to give you something to do. You're bored. Why not post something to stir up some ruckus? They'll insult you, you'll insult them back. It's an endless cycle, one that'll only come to a stop if you choose to stop commenting but you won't because you secretly get a rush out of it. And the greatest part is, you can't get hurt and if it's a so-called friend, you won't be losing anything special. It's just someone who messages you every now and then. You can get over that.
Don't even shit me with "this is a serious issue." It's not.
There is a better word for what you're going through. It's called bickering which means "to engage in a petty, bad-tempered quarrel."
Get over yourselves. This isn't about acceptance of opinions. It's not like there's any real fighting and no one's truly getting hurt. And even so, it's nothing that could possibly be compared to an actual war.
Try picking up a history textbook. Better yet, since you're already here, browse for facts on the internet. Delve into the world of war then compare it to this situation. They are two completely different things. Stop kidding yourself.
